  Following Club members motorcycle tour of the Himalayas in July 2024 with Atul (owner) and crew of Indian Motorcycle Tours, we are signing on for a return visit and their Forts, Lakes & Tigers Tour.

  The Presidents estimated cost is <A$10,000 comprising Tour Rider A$4,320 / Pillion A$3,510, Airfare ~A$2000 and incidentals (eg: hotels before and after tour, visas, vaccinations and cash lunches).

  India requires visitors hold a valid passport (+6 months) and Indian visa.  The tour company require riders hold, provide and carry an International Driving Permit, valid Motorcycle licence (Royal Enfield 411 Himalayan) and comprehensive travel insurance.  Don't forget your own motorcycle helmet and protective clothing.

  The intention is to arrive in New Delhi Friday 28 Feb 25 for a Monday 3 Mar 25 tour departure and return to New Delhi 17 Feb 25 and fly home to Australia on Tuesday 18 Feb 25.

  If you’re keen to squeeze in a longer day ride before daylight savings time ends, then why not join the Club for a winding backroads ride to Candelo for lunch with BMWTCNSW members at the Candelo Hotel? If you’d prefer a shorter ride, then why not join the first or second leg of the ride through to Cooma (100 km) for coffee or Bombala (200 km)?

  Outbound (272 km): via the Monaro Hwy to Cooma (coffee stop at Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre & Café), then Church and Maffra Rds and the Snowy River Way to Bombala (quick regroup/fuel stop), onto Mt Darragh Rd to Cathcart and Wyndham and then Myrtle Mtn Rd to Candelo:

  Updated 13/03/25 to confirm Condobolin as D3 overnight stop.

  Keen on NSW’s Riverina and Central West regions? Then why not join the Club for a multi-day ride on sealed roads following Billabong Creek from source to mouth, through Morven, Culcairn, Walbundrie, Rand, Jerilderie, Conargo and Moulamein? At 320km in length, it’s purportedly the longest creek in the world! Heading home via Maude, Hay, Hillston and Condobolin.

  Outbound Saturday (overnighting in Culcairn), riding Sunday (overnighting in Moulamein), riding Monday (overnighting Condobolin) and returning home on Tuesday. Short on time? Then join the first leg to Adaminaby for coffee or come along for one, two or three nights – your choice!

  Day 1 (5/4) Outbound: Ex. Ampol EG Hume (94 Sheppard St)- Cooma-Adaminaby (coffee/refuel)-Kiandra-Elliott Way-Tumbarumba (?lunch)-Rosewood-Yarra Yarra Rd (closest we can get to start of Billabong Creek)-Morven-Culcairn (383km):  Google Maps

  Day 2 (6/4):  Ex. Culcairn-Walbundrie-Rand-Jerilderie (?coffee/refuel)-Conargo-Pretty Pine Hotel (?lunch)-Moulamein (331km): Google Maps

  This is a social opportunity for members and visitors to meet for morning coffee and optional ride, with the route and destination decided by those present on the day (usually the first Thursday of each month).

  This is NOT an organised event, other than the meeting location and time: 09:00 at KT Bee's Kitchen, 5/6 Bungendore Rd, Queanbeyan East NSW 2620.

  You could find yourself the only one there or one of several. It’s up to the group on the day to decide on a ride and to where, or to simply enjoy a coffee and chat.

  Registration for this event is optional - you do not need to register for this event.

  South Coast United Motorcycle (SCUM) Tourers host the Casper Rally at Bummaroo Ford camping area, on the banks of the Abercrombie River, 75km south of Oberon side hard left at the bottom of the hill and before the bridge and approx 28kms North of Taralga if you are coming from Goulburn.
  

  Your entry includes a badge and raffle ticket.  This is a back to basics rally - bring all your own camping gear & essentials. Supplies available at Goulburn, Taralga (limited) or Oberon. Onsite toilets, water and firewood provided. Raffle draw and awards presentation on Saturday afternoon.

  The 44th Kosciuskzo Camp will be held at the Geehi Hut Campground located on the sealed Alpine Way in the picturesque Snowy Mountains and home to some of the best motorcycling roads in Australia.  Camp supplies can be purchased at Thredbo (43km) or Khancoban (31km).

  The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service require individual campsites for 1-6 persons to be pre-booked online here https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/camping-and-accommodation/campgrounds/geehi-flats-campground.   KNP also has park use (entry) fees for persons camping overnight and provides no rubbish facilities.  The Club freely gives out rubbish bags and asks that you take your rubbish home with you.

  We look forward to catching up with you for some spring camping in one of the most picturesque locations with great riding roads.

  The BMWTCNSW will host their Karuah River Rally at Frying Pan Creek 30km (15km dirt) from Dungog NSW and 646km from Canberra via Bathurst.

  If you are a BMWMCC member and interested in a 4 day ride, leaving Canberra Friday then register on this page for planning purposes.  You are NOT registering to the BMWTCNSW Karuah River Rally.

  Club Ride Update @ 20/1/24:  2 Members are departing AM Friday 9/2 and have booked into the Bank Hotel Dungog to catch up with BMWOCSA members Friday night.  Camping @ the Rally Saturday and returning via Hill End (Sunday) and Bridle Track (Monday) to Canberra.

  For the serious adventure rider then the OCR is a 40+ year classic.  Held every two years and involving a ride to a remote Australian location.

  For 2026 the rally heads to Mount Augustus Tourist Park.  Google link https://maps.app.goo.gl/SUYGDhKbRGmD7L9M7.

  The OCR is in a remote part of Australia with limited support of any kind.  Intending riders and their motorcycle need to be well prepared, allow for contingencies and be flexible to evolving conditions.  Having plenty of cash will also help with accommodation and mix of 5 star bush camping or Pubs. 

  Recovery of people and motorcycles is expensive from the remote areas of Australia.  Make sure you have ambulance cover as a minimum and take advantage of the Club Member Rider & First Aid Training program beforehand.  Otherwise plan on a great ride.  Follow the story on Adventure Rider www.advrider.com.

  BMWMC Club Members:  for Club members register your EOI for a group ride.

  The BMWMCC has no involvement in the organisation of the OCR (Off Centre Rally).  Participants do so entirely at their own risk and responsible for all costs.  This event is posted for the general information to Club members and interested motorcycle community.
