Then why not join the Club for a multi-day ride on sealed roads following Billabong Creek from source to mouth, through Morven, Culcairn, Walbundrie, Rand, Jerilderie, Conargo and Moulamein? At 320km in length, it’s purportedly the longest creek in the world! Heading home via Maude, Hay, Hillston and Condobolin.
Outbound Saturday (overnighting in Culcairn), riding Sunday (overnighting in Moulamein), riding Monday (overnighting Condobolin) and returning home on Tuesday. Short on time? Then join the first leg to Adaminaby for coffee or come along for one, two or three nights – your choice!
Day 1 (5/4) Outbound: Ex. Ampol EG Hume (94 Sheppard St)- Cooma-Adaminaby (coffee/refuel)-Kiandra-Elliott Way-Tumbarumba (?lunch)-Rosewood-Yarra Yarra Rd (closest we can get to start of Billabong Creek)-Morven-Culcairn (383km): Google Maps
Day 2 (6/4): Ex. Culcairn-Walbundrie-Rand-Jerilderie (?coffee/refuel)-Conargo-Pretty Pine Hotel (?lunch)-Moulamein (331km): Google Maps
Day 3 (7/4): Ex. Moulamein-Maude (?coffee)-Hay-Goolgowi(?refuel/lunch)-Meriwagga-Hillston-Lake Cargelligo (?refuel/rest stop)-Condobolin (485km): Google Maps
Day 4 (8/4) Return: Ex. Condoblin to Canberra (route TBC) – options include via West Wyalong and Temora, or via Forbes, Grenfell and Young, or via Forbes, Cowra and Boorowa (all approx. 370km): Google Maps
Approximately 331-485 km per day on a mix of sealed main, secondary and minor roads.
Note: TS routes are confirmed (other than minor change), with possible (but not yet confirmed) GS breakout options for those so inclined.
Rest, lunch and refuel stops: Days 2-4 - To be agreed by riders each day.
