Only those people joining the Royal Australian Navy and HMAS Nirimba in January 1977 can register to this event that requires a seperate unique access code provided separately.

If YOUR name isn't on the Navy's + group amended corrected graduation list or members recollection then it will be cancelled - without refund.

January 1977 saw some 240 fresh faced teenagers join the Royal Australian Navy as civilian recruit apprentices or posted as Junior Recruits from HMAS Leeuwin WA to the RAN Apprentice Training Establishment HMAS Nirimba located at Quakers Hill NSW.  They were joined by serving sailors completing 'phase' technical training and engineering sailors of the Royal Malaysian Navy completing a specialist trade.

Apprentice theory & practical/shop training was compressed into 24-30 months followed by 2 years consolidation training completed on posting to ships at sea or support bases throughout Australia.

A 50th anniversary intake reunion has been planned for 10-12 February 2027 in Canberra to celebrate this milestone, reunite, share a few stories and pause and reflect on those no longer with us.
